Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1 CCENT).
This course focuses on providing the skills and knowledge necessary to install, operate, and troubleshoot a small branch office Enterprise network, including configuring a switch, a router, and connecting to a WAN and implementing network security. A Student should be able to complete configuration and implementation of a small branch office network under supervision. Length: 5 days.

Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices Part 2 (ICND2 CCNA) This course focuses on providing the skills and knowledge necessary to install, operate, and troubleshoot a small to medium-size branch office Enterprise network, including configuring several switches and routers, connecting to a WAN and implementing network security. Length: 5 days.

The Cisco CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician) certification validates the skills required for entry-level network support positions, the starting point for many successful careers in networking. Candidates should have the knowledge and skill to install, operate and troubleshoot a small enterprise branch network, including basic network security. CCENT certification is the first step toward achieving CCNA, which covers medium size enterprise branch networks with more complex connections.

The CCNA certification (Cisco Certified Network Associate) validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. This new curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills. This new curriculum also includes (but is not limited to) the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2),VLANs, Ethernet, access control lists (ACLs).

Target Audience
This course is geared toward IT and help-desk professionals who want to get recognized for their skills or individuals who want to get ahead in the IT career path. Having proof of your skills and knowledge gives you the edge.

  • Using the host-to-host packet delivery process, describe issues related to increasing traffic on an Ethernet LAN and identify switched LAN technology solutions to Ethernet networking issues.
  • Describes the reasons for extending the reach of a LAN and the methods that can be used with a focus on RF wireless access.
  • Describes the reasons for connecting networks with routers and how routed networks transmit data through networks using TCP/IP.
  • Describe the function of Wide Area Networks (WANs), the major devices of WANs, and configure PPP encapsulation, static and dynamic routing, PAT and RIP routing.
  • Use the command-line interface to discover neighbors on the network and managing the router's startup and configuration.
